Breath & Bio-Energetics Training

This training offers an introduction and deepening into Neo-Reichian body-oriented
breath work. It explores the relationship between breath, body, emotion, energy, and
awareness, and gives participants both personal experience and practical
understanding of the method.

LEVEL 1 – in 3 Modules - Foundation: Self-Experience and Theory

Bio-Energetic work is based on the understanding that emotional and psychological patterns
are not only held in the mind, but also expressed through the body: in breathing,
posture, muscular tension, movement, contact, and the capacity for emotional
expression. This understanding  is inspired by the pioneering research of Wilhelm Reich, who observed how our emotional life is closely connected to the body and how unexpressed feelings can create patterns of tension in the body over time.

Throughout life we often learn to hold ourselves back. We may suppress anger, swallow fear, hold back tears, or disconnect from parts of our vitality. Gradually these protective patterns can settle into the body as chronic tension—what Reich described as “muscular armor.”

In this training we explore the body through breathing, movement, sound, and awareness. These simple practices help soften habitual tension and invite the body’s natural energy to move more freely again.

As the body begins to release and reorganize, many people experience deeper relaxation, increased vitality, emotional openness, and a greater sense of inner clarity. Breath becomes a resource for grounding and meditation, supporting presence and connection with oneself.

This work is not about analysis or intellectual understanding. It is an experiential process of listening to the body and rediscovering its natural intelligence. Through this exploration we reconnect with a deeper sense of aliveness, authenticity, and inner balance.

The training is suitable for people interested in personal development, therapists,
bodyworkers, facilitators, and psychologists who wish to deepen their understanding
of the connection between psychological processes and bodily experience.
It combines theory, self-experience, practical exercises, session work, supervision,
and reflection.

You can participate in the first module as a free standing workshop.

MODULE 1 - Foundation: Self-Experience and Theory

The first level offers a personal experience of the work and introduces the basic
theoretical foundations of Neo-Reichian body-oriented breath work.
Participants explore their own breath, body awareness, emotional responses,
patterns of tension, and the movement of energy in the body. This creates an
experiential basis for understanding the method from within.

Focus include:

  • Life force and how it moves through the body
  • A basic understanding of how energy functions
  • Breathing, pulsation, charge and discharge
  • Reich’s formula of energetic regulation
  • The seven segments of muscular armoring
  • Feeling pairs such as anger and love, fear and trust, pain and pleasure
  • Pulsation and counter-pulsation
This level lays the foundation for deeper personal awareness and prepares
participants for practical learning in the next stage.

MODULE 2 – Practice: Learning the Art of Session Work/Skills

The second level focuses on the practical learning of session work.
Participants begin to guide and support others while also experiencing what it is like
to be guided. The emphasis is on developing sensitivity, presence, and an embodied
understanding of the process.

This is a body-oriented training in which participants learn to observe and work with
breath, posture, muscular tension, emotional expression, and patterns of holding in
the body.

Focus includes:
  • Developing sensitivity and understanding
  • Learning hands-on techniques in Neo-Reichian work
  • Learnings how and when to use words in a session
  • Observing breath, posture, and tension patterns
  • Cultivating presence, grounding, and respectful contact
  • Understanding how emotional patterns are held in the body
  • Practicing session work and receiving feedback

For psychologists and therapists, this level can offer a practical deepening of
perception by including non-verbal and embodied dimensions of psychological
processes.Through repeated practice and reflection, participants begin to develop their own
natural way of working with the method.

MODULE 3 – Integration, Supervision and Group Facilitation

The third level focuses on integration, refinement, and supervision.
Participants receive feedback on the sessions they give and deepen their
understanding of the work through reflection and supervised practice.
For those who wish to bring this work into groups, elements of group facilitation are
introduced.

Focus includes:
  • Refining session work
  • Deepening understanding of the method
  • Receiving supervision and constructive feedback
  • Developing confidence in holding space
  • Introduction to group facilitation

This level supports participants in integrating the theoretical, experiential, and
practical aspects of the training.

The Essence of the Training

This training is a path into body-oriented therapeutic work through direct experience,
theory, practice, and integration. It supports a deeper understanding of how breath, body, emotion, and awareness are connected. Participants learn to recognize how inner processes may appear in the body and how body-oriented work can support greater awareness, expression, regulation, and presence.

For psychologists, therapists, and facilitators, the training offers a way to include the
body more consciously in the understanding of psychological and emotional
processes. It is a practical and experiential training for those who want to study Neo-Reichian body-oriented breath work in depth.

Agni is trained in Reichian work, breath, primal de-conditioning, counseling, Gestalt - inner man inner woman and meditation focused therapy. Since some years she is training to become a person oriented child/youth therapist in Germany. She works in Europe leading groups and giving individual sessions.
