Welcome to Baravara

Since starting Baravara in 1999 we have seen thousands of people pass through our doors. After each course we are filled with a sense of wonder and gratitude for being able to share this transformative experience with you.

Gayan and Lars Vedam KnutssonBoth of us waited long before we embarked on this journey, finally cancer was our wake up call that made us change our lives. It makes us happy to see that so many people have the courage, curiosity and willingness to give themselves a gift like this.

We are inspired by the Indian mystic Osho's approach to therapy and meditation, as well as by Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, and many others. Wise people that basically say the same thing - something we ourselves have experienced and experience in every course at Baravara - how much pain ourthoughts and judgments about ourselves and others create, how hard it is to accept reality and life as it is and how important it is to stop, breathe and be present. Learning to see and meet life as it is in every moment gives us new choices and we start developing a deeper sense of relaxation, self-love and respect. We gain access to a presence and anavara.inner stillness that can deeply affect our lives. These ideas create the foundation for all courses at Baravara.

Baravara in Swedish means "Just Be" and we have put a lot of care in creating an environment for self-reflection. The whitewashed aesthetic contributes to the serene atmosphere, creating a deep sense of connection. All the food served is organic and lovingly prepared. Baravara is situated in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Sweden overlooking the stunning lake Siljan.
